Meet Mr. Toot, the Fleeing Bicyclist

Summary:  A Florida man with an unfortunate last name was caught running a stop sign on a bicycle and then fleeing on his bicycle from the cop.

Floridian Neil Toot thought it was a good idea to flee from police on a bicycle. Toot was seen pedaling through a stop sign by a sheriff deputy. The deputy attempted to pull over the 51-year-old but Toot kept peddling away. At one point the deputy saw him throw “something behind him to the right.”

After running out of steam, Toot dismounted his bike and gave up. A patrolman was able to recover the tossed item, a plastic baggie of crack cocaine rocks.

Toot was arrested for cocaine possession, a felony charge. He is being held on the Manatee County jail on $5000 bond.

This is not the first time Toot has been behind bars. He is a convicted felon that served time in state prison for cocaine possession and aggravated child abuse. He has also been arrested for drunk driving, probation violation, battery, domestic battery, violating a domestic violence protection order, and failure to pay child support.

Hopefully his child(ren) doesn’t have to share his last name.

Do you think Toot has received more than enough chances and should be kept in jail? Tell us in the comments below.
