Lawyer Quits Career to Become Prostitute, Says She Makes More Money Now

Claudia de Marchi, 34, gave up her career as a lawyer to become a prostitute.

Summary: A Brazilian woman said she makes more money as a prostitute than as a constitutional lawyer and professor.

A former lawyer and law professor in Brazil has gone on the record about hating the sexism of her old career, so she found a more stimulating one–being a prostitute!

The Daily Mail reported that Claudia de Marchi, 34, left her job as a constitutional lawyer to become a full-time escort. De Marchi said that she charges £150 an hour or £650 a night, and she now lives in Brazil’s capital Brasilia, where she advertises her services as a “high-end courtesan.” In a blog post, she said that she enjoys anal sex and orgasming with “insatiable” men.

Proud of her new occupation, de Marchi uses her real name with clients and blogs about her sex work without using a pseudonym. She said that her 64-year-old mother supported her decision to become a prostitute and even moved in with her in her apartment in the city.

De Marchi said that she hated the boys’ club of the legal world and that she was frustrated that her colleagues got ahead with their family connections while she had none. She said that she feels that she is more liberated as a prostitute who no longer has to deal with “male flaws” and can get paid to do what she loves.

“From the beginning, I found that the legal world is very macho, with men relying on their daddies to help them up the ladder. Neither my father or my mother are lawyers, so I had to get on on my own. But with the passage of time, I became more unhappy and frustrated,” de Marchi said.

De Marchi worked as an attorney for 11 years after graduating from law school in 2005. Before her new life, she taught constitution law at Unic Sorriso University.

De Marchi said that she has no regrets about leaving her legal career. Besides bypassing misogyny at work, she said that being a courtesan is enjoyable and lucrative. Last year, she said she made  £100,000, which is significantly more than what she made as a lawyer.

“I also adore sex,” de Marchi said. “I wouldn’t be in this profession if I didn’t like it. So, I found a way to make money doing something that I like, marketing my sexual talent and my libido.”
