Lawyer Pours Beer on Woman after She Rejects Him

Summary: A British lawyer was found guilty of dumping his beer on a woman.

A lawyer poured beer over the head of a woman who rejected him at a party. Needless to say, he’s never going to get her number.

British attorney Alastair Main, 35, was at a rowing club party when he hit on an Australian woman, 27. After she declined him, he seemed to audition for a spot on the Real Housewives franchise when he called her an “Australian slut,” slapped her butt, and poured his beverage over her head. They were at the party celebrating Christmas, according to The Telegraph.

At court, it was revealed that Main had followed his victim into the bathroom before he lifted her skirt and repeatedly spanked her. Main claimed he was being “flirty,” seemingly unaware that he was a sexual predator. He also denied using the racial slur, but he agreed that he had called her a “slut.”

Main reportedly wept in court, stating that he was very drunk when he acted like a complete toolbag. He said that the woman had slapped him while they were chatting in a corner of the party, and that she had run off after the hit. He said that he ran after her only to remedy the situation.

“She slapped me around the face and tried to again but I caught it”, Main said. “She ran off and I hesitated for about 15 seconds probably, trying to work out what happened then I followed her.”

When Main found the woman, instead of making things right, he poured beer over her head. In court, he said his reasoning was that he was “upset.”

The victim ran into the bathroom after the beer dousing, and Main followed her again. He claimed that it was to also remedy the situation. This is when he allegedly lifted her skirt and slapped at her legs. She provided evidence to prove the abuse, and there were eyewitnesses too.

Main admitted in court that the woman repeatedly yelled at him to leave her alone, but he continued to follow and assault her.

The bad attorney was found guilty of racially aggravated common assault and sexual assault. The Telegraph stated that he showed no remorse during the decision’s announcement, and that the judge was understandably incredulous to his claims.

“I do not find it feasible your pursuit was to sort things out,” Judge Barbara Barnes said to Main. “What I found was that you were pursuing her because you were angry and you were determined to control the complainants behaviour.”
