Clark County Public Defender Caught for Public Indecency

Summary: A Clark County public defender was discovered at a local park with another man engaging in a sex act.

Public defender Ronald Morris has been accused of engaging in a sex act at a Clark County park with another man. Morris has pleaded guilty to one count of public indecency for engaging in sexual acts with Jeffrey Edwards near a trail in Buck Creek State Park.

At the time of his arrest back in September, Morris was employed by the Clark County Public Defender’s office. He made roughly $85,000 last year as a public defender. It is unknown if he is still employed by the office.

Morris has been sentenced to probation and must pay a $100 fine and court costs. He has also been banned from the park temporarily. Two other counts of the public indecency were dropped.

The two men were caught when an officer spotted them walking into the wooded part of the park together, a part of the park which is known for public indecency. The officer walked along the trail where the men had been seen and used his binoculars to spot Edwards performing a sex act on Morris. The officer approached the men. Edwards attempted to walk away but was ordered not to move, which he then attempted to approach the officer.

Do you think the park should take steps to address the part of the park that is a known problem area so that it is no longer sought after as a place for sex acts? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
