Best Attorney Ads of All Time

The Terminator? No way. It’s personal injury attorney Jamie Casino. Photo courtesy of Youtube.

Summary: Five of our favorite real-life lawyer ads of all time.

While the legal profession is notoriously conservative, to win in the advertising world, people need to entertain and stand out. For lawyers who want their commercials to be remembered by audiences, that means they have to put themselves out there and risk losing face to make an impression. While it’s scary to take this gamble, the following attorneys and law firms did so and to fantastic results.

JAMIE CASINO

Savannah lawyer Jamie Casino debuted his personal injury ad during the 2014 Super Bowl, and he showed millions of people how cool lawyers can actually be. Telling an epic true story of why he switched from criminal law to personal injury, he emerged as the hero of his own mini-movie, and he took down a real-life enemy, a former police chief who slandered his dead brother’s name. While that vengeance aspect was incredible enough, Casino filled his film with special effects, heavy metal music, and bitching flames in the background.

The video has been viewed on Youtube almost 6 million times.

DANIEL MUESSIG

Pittsburg attorney and former rapper Daniel Muessig had a unique way of advertising his criminal law practice. “Hire me, I think like a criminal!” he exclaimed. His commercial starts off with criminals, played by his friends, doing nefarious things before they turn to the camera, smile real cheesy, and proclaim, “Thanks, Dan!” Like he’s their go-to guy. While critics felt it was a bad move to publicize that he thinks like a criminal, Muessig’s humorous video got national attention in 2014 and so did his law office.

PETE REID

Pete Reid of Pete Reid Law focuses on “Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, and Sports Law in Austin and NYC.” But from his ad below, it appears as if he specialized in kicking ass and taking names. The University of Edinburgh School of Law graduate can be seen mastering karate, chess, hairstyling, and yes, lawyering–all while wearing a dapper suit and blue tie.

BRYAN WILSON

There must be something in the Texas water because the lawyers there seem to know what makes ads go viral! While Pete Reid’s ad did great online with over 30,000 views, Bryan Wilson took the crown with the following gem which was seen 1.8 million times. Wilson’s ad fused high energy and patriotism, and he smartly branded himself “Texas Law Hawk,” which he repeated over and over again so you’ll never forget who to call when you see an American flag or a bald eagle.

CELLINO & BARNES

The ads for Cellino and Barnes are pretty standard–serious testimonials and information about certain types of cases. But what sets them apart is the catchiest jingle and most memorable phone number of all time. You hear it once, and it forms an annoying earworm that’ll never dig out of your brain. “Cellino and Barnes. Injury attorneys. 800-888-888. Don’t wait. Call eight!”
