Summary: Bill O’Reilly’s $10 million lawsuit against his ex-wife was sealed.

The world will not get a chance to learn more about the private life of Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. According to Radar Online, the 67-year-old conservative anchor “persuaded a judge” to seal details of the $10 million lawsuit he filed against the mother of his two children.

Sources told Radar that O’Reilly was angry that his ex Maureen McPhilmy, 50, dumped him for a police detective, and he sought to destroy her in court. Their bitter divorce and custody battle went on for six-years, and there were rumors he sought to annihilate McPhilmy’s new man’s career and to ban his wife from her Catholic church.

The gossip website said that O’Reilly now wants anything that could make him look bad kept away from the public. In July, Gawker had attempted to unseal the lawsuit, claiming that they had a right to know about the opinionated host’s personal drama, considering he was so vocal judging others.

According to Radar, one such awful secret in the court papers is that O’Reilly’s teen daughter saw him drag McPhilmy down a staircase by the neck.

O’Reilly denies all of the abuse allegations, and the face of Fox News most likely wants to keep his dirty laundry out of sight considering how much bad press the network has gotten because of Roger Ailes’ alleged mistreatment of women.

In 2010, the couple agreed to share custody of their son and daughter, but last October, a New York judge fined McPhilmy almost $300,000 for violating their agreement. Their daughter was supposed to spend the week with O’Reilly, but she allegedly didn’t want to. McPhilmy was then found to be in contempt of court, and Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Sharon Gianelli said McPhilmy never had a “sincere intention” to share custody with her famous spouse, according to The Daily Mail.

The O’Reilly’s were officially declared divorced in 2011, and McPhilmy has since remarried to the police detective.
