Dallas Police Sergeant Sues Black Lives Matter for Allegedly Igniting “Race War”

Summary: A Dallas police sergeant is suing Black Lives Matter and other African-American leaders for flaming a “race war.”

A Dallas police sergeant is suing prominent African-Americans, alleging they are inciting a race war that harms the police.

Sgt. Demetrick Pennie filed a lawsuit in Dallas last Friday against Black Lives Matter organizers, President Barack Obama, Reverend Al Sharpton, and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Fox News reports that he is also suing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and billionaire George Soros.

Pennie, who is black, is seeking damages between $500 million and $1.5 billion. In his lawsuit, he said that the defendants spark violence and encourage people to disrespect and harm police.

“Defendants incite people to violence and cause violence by telling those people that they are under attack. Defendants are encouraging disaffected blacks, Black Muslims, Muslims and others allied with them including certain whites to ignore, disrespect, and assault law enforcement officials, and commit violence and lethal force,” the lawsuit said.

Pennie is represented by attorney Larry Klayman, who founded the organization Freedom Watch. Klayman said that the defendants needed to be “reigned in” for “igniting a race war that will ultimately totally destroy the freedoms that our Founding Fathers bequeathed to us.”

In July, Klayman filed a similar class action lawsuit against President Obama, Sharpton, and others for allegedly flaming a “race war” gainst whites, Jews, and law enforcement.

In the class action, Klayman expressed fear for his life as a white man who was a former law enforcement officer.
