Stop Talking During the Movie or Else

Summary: One man got punched twice in the face after complaining to a woman that talked through an entire showing of “Suicide Squad.”

We’ve all sat through at least one movie at the theater where there was someone consistently talking throughout the entire film – if you haven’t then you may be the person talking. How did you handle the person talking? One Indiana man waited until the end of the movie “Suicide Squad” to confront the lady that was jabbering away through the movie.

William Mason approached LaQuintae Taborn while they were exiting the theater in Portage Indiana. Cops allege that he said to her, “I just wanted to thank you for talking through the entire movie and ruining it for everyone.” Taborn didn’t appreciate his comment and showed her feelings by first pushing Mason and then punching him in the face, twice.

Mason’s glasses were knocked off his face but declined any medical treatment at the scene. The probable cause affidavit reveals that he suffered “pain, swelling, and watering of the eye.” Taborn insists that she pushed him when he got close to her and hit him because she assumed he would have hit her for pushing him. She now faces a misdemeanor battery charge. She was released on $800 bond from the county jail until her next hearing.

Mason declined to press any charges, probably because he didn’t want to admit he got beat up by a girl, being punched not just once but twice by her.
