Pokemon Go Is All the Rave but Not Exactly a Safe Activity

Summary: With the game Pokemon Go being just a few days old, a report of a person injured as a result of being distracted by has already come in.

Since the release of the game Pokemon Go just days ago, people are swarming to it making it the most popular thing on the internet right now – more popular than porn. Many are curious what the hype is all about so there was bound to be someone that got hurt in their adventures wandering around town. This New Yorker did just that, except he was wandering around aimlessly while driving a motor vehicle.

A 28-year-old driver in upstate New York slammed his car into a tree. The driver was playing “Pokemon Go” on his phone when the crash happened. He was not seriously injured but was still transported to a local hospital for treatment on cuts in his legs. His car was severely damaged.

The driver, who has not been identified, is expected to receive a citation for his one-car accident. He held no secrets from the police, admitting to “actively playing the ‘Pokemon Go’ game while driving causing him to become distracted and run off the roadway into a tree.”

A police safety alert reminds drivers how “easily accidents can occur when someone is engaged in the game and not paying attention.”

Pokemon Go is an virtual reality game where people use their phones to find characters and targeted places. Reports of people entering private locations are starting to build.
