Four Ways You Can Easily Revamp Your Home

Summary: Today I thought I’d share some inspiration I’ve found for revamping little things in your home or apartment that can make a big difference.

I don’t know what it is about fall, but it makes me want to redecorate and do DIY projects. Maybe it’s the concept of the new school year (even though I’m not in school) and just wanting to change things up now that summer is over and the craziness of holidays hasn’t begun.

Today I thought I’d share some inspiration I’ve found for revamping little things in your home or apartment that can make a big difference.

  1. Throw Pillows! Throw pillows are something you can easily change, so mix them up for the seasons, or if you feel like changing the accent colors in a room.

  1. New Artwork. Art doesn’t have to be expensive. You can make your own art or order something simple from Etsy! It’s a great way to brighten up a room and add some of your own personality.

  1. Reorganize Shelves. Now this one is cheap! Simply cleaning out your shelves and reorganizing them can make a big difference. Dig around for some cute little keepsakes from family or travels, or add a quote print to break up the space.

  1. Organize. Take those areas of your home that are driving you crazy and reorganize them! Pinterest is your friend. There are so many amazing ideas that other people have come up with. No need to reinvent the wheel!

Kathryn Wheeler: My name is Katie and I moved to Chicago in 2010 for law school and graduated in May 2013. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
