Docket Alarm

This legal research tool can process full-text searches from lawsuits to produce analytics and predictions. The app gives real-time alerts to the device or inbox. CEO Michael Sander says the software will predict outcomes from litigation by using records of past cases by reviewing and analyzing the legal opinions to uncover similarities.

Lawdingo

They handle everything from marketing, screening, intake, routing, and payment between attorneys and clients. They want to help people find lawyers quickly, currently have an app for Android and iPhone devices. They app takes care of screening and client intake.



IP Nexus

They are a global service for intellectual property. They match inventors, startups and universities with the needs they have whether that is a lawyer, patent attorney, or other professional that can protect their invention. They are currently planning on expanding into the U.S.

PlainLegal

This software takes in information that attorneys need such as client information, document assembly and docketing. CEO Nehal Madhani says the software can automate administrative and other repetitive work. They plan on creating more services such as copyright docketing.

PatentVector

This company was able to create a tool to discover new patents by searching through global patent registries. Stanford chose this company to be their Startup Showcase.

MeWe, Inc.

While this company is not fully targeted for the legal industry, they are a mobile software that makes compliance easier and accessible for small businesses and consumers. The San Francisco and Boston-based company currently focuses on those in the food and housing markets and helping them meet their rules and regulations. They are exploring the possibility of helping law firms.

One400

This company is a digital marketing agency specifically for the legal industry. Their app helps lawyers gain clients through innovative marketing strategies.

Shake

This platform lets users create, sign and send digital legal binding agreements quickly. The entire process is accessible and understandable. CEO Abe Geiger wanted to make the process less time-consuming, confusing and expensive. They use a bottom-up process that is different than the usual desktop centric business model.

Priori Legal

They are an online platform that allows businesses to find, hire, and outlay services for their legal needs. CEO Basha Rubin wanted high growth startups to easily connect with a network of lawyers that are giving their more competitive rates. They aim at only finding lawyers that have discounted or transparent rates.

Courtbuddy.com

This online platform takes the clients budget and matches them with attorneys. They provide an a-la-carte service that requires users to pay for what they can afford. They aim to allow everyone access to legal services no matter their financial situation.
