Honigman’s Detroit Office Adds a New Partner

Summary: Glenn S. Walter brings almost 20 years of experience in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy issues, and insolvency to Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn LLP.

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP have a new partner in their Commercial Transactions and Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditor Rights Groups. Glenn S. Walter will be working from the firm’s Detroit office.

Walter will be leaving the sunny skies and warm weather of Los Angeles, California where he was working for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He has almost 20 years of experience in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy issues, and insolvency. His ability to help financially troubled organizations navigate out-of-court and Chapter 11 reorganizations will aid Honigman.

He has represented asset purchasers, investors, official committees of unsecured creditors, and major creditors. Walter is certified by the American Board of Certification as a business bankruptcy specialist. He is licensed to practice in New York, California, New Jersey, and is now working towards Michigan.

He received his J.D. from Cornell University Law School, his B.A. from Livingston College at Rutgers University, and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
