An Aha Moment in My Business Plan

This past weekend I was in Nashville for a big conference. I’ve wanted to become a full-time Health & Fitness Coach for about six months, however growing my business has been a lot slower than I had first expected it to be.

During one of the first sessions I attended during the conference, our speaker said that your team will work based on the example that you set. If you set the bar high, then you will have a higher quality team that works to reach that bar. I realized then that I am working full time and working on building my business all at once because I need to set the bar. I need to show my team and my clients that they can do the same with a full time job, that if they work hard enough, they can achieve anything they dream of doing.

This may not have been the exact path I had dreamed of when I started my business, but I realize now that it’s the best one for me and my journey right now.

Kathryn Wheeler: My name is Katie and I moved to Chicago in 2010 for law school and graduated in May 2013. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
