Managua, Nicaragua Welcomes New Littler Global Office

Summary: Littler Global continues to build their international reach, especially with their push to expand in the Central American and South American areas.

In a press release it was announced that BDS Asesores, a Littler Global member, has expanded to open an office in Managua, Nicaragua. They are adding two new attorneys to the new office, Mariel Rodriquez and Mario David Obando Flores. BDS Asesores is a leading employment and labor firm with locations in Panama, Central America, and the Dominican Republic. Littler Global has been expanding their Central American presence with El Salvador in 2012.

Mariel Rodriquez has over twelve years of experience in labor and corporate counseling. She has expertise in social security and administrative law matters and actions before governmental authorities. She has also spent a great deal of time conducting legal audits, preparing legal opinions, and drafting legal reports for things such as commercial, labor, tax, energy, social security, and telecommunications issues.

Rodriquez has an extensive and impressive education including receiving her Law Degree from the Universidad Americana of Nicaragua in addition to her Master’s Degree in Business Consulting from Universidad Centroamericana. She also has a Postgraduate Degree from Universidad Centroamericana in Corporations Law and an International Postgraduate Degree from Instituto Centroamericano de Estudios Penales of Universidad Politecnia of Nicaragua in Criminal Procedural Law regarding Fundamental Topics of the new Procedural Code.

Mario Obando also has over twelve years of experience. He served at Departmental Inspector of the Ministry of Labor as well as a corporate labor law advisor. His expertise includes human relations and bargaining, labor mediation and conciliation techniques, commercial accounting, and occupational safety and health.

Obando’s Law Degree is from Universidad Hispanoamericana of Nicaragua with a Postgraduate Degree from Universidad Centroamericana of Nicaragua in Children’s Law and Eradication of Child Labor.
