What’s Happening in My Life in June This Week

Summary: Here’s a look into my life in the last week in June.

A look into my life, currently:

Current book: Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult

Other than one or two new ones, this is the only Jodi Picoult book that I have not read. It never sounded interesting, but oh was I wrong! This is SO GOOD and I’m only halfway through!

Current music: I started listening to the mash up Style/Blank Space Mashup by Louisa Wendorff again and now it’s on repeat. Very calming …

Current guilty pleasure: Starbursts. I only have a couple a day, but sometimes I just need that something sweet… probably should cut these out soon.

Current nail color: Splash of Grenadine by Essie – my all-time favorite color!

Current drink: ICED COFFEE!

Current food: Sweet potatoes, Quest bars, almonds, hummus, and sugar snap peas!

Current shows: Orange Is The New Black! I finished it last weekend – I definitely think it was a filler season to bridge the gap between season 2 and what they want to do in season 4.

Current wishlist: A week in a hammock on a beach. For real.

Current needs: A massage! Seriously, with all this strength training my body is SORE!

Current triumphs: I ran a four mile race! I haven’t run in about seven months and then I just showed up and ran 4 miles in 37 minutes! That’s what those Beachbody workouts do for you!

Current blessing: My small group. We’ve been spending a lot of time together this month and those women are so amazing and positive and they always make me feel better!

Current drink: Water. I had some coffee, but I cut myself off around 2pm to make sure it doesn’t mess with my sleep.

Current excitement: Fourth of July! I’m going to Colorado Springs to see my family!

Current mood: Tired. It’s been a long week and I was up late last night reading. So ready to go home and climb into bed!

Kathryn Wheeler: My name is Katie and I moved to Chicago in 2010 for law school and graduated in May 2013. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
