DLA Piper, Kramer Levin and Manatt have all added new partners this week, according to press releases from all three law firms.

At DLA Piper, Rodney Villazor has joined the litigation practice in Short Hills, New Jersey. Villazor worked as an assistant U.S. attorney since 2008, spending four years in the organized crime unit for the District of New Jersey. He also worked in the Northern District of California in the Special Prosecutions and National Security Unit.

“Rodney is a highly regarded prosecutor with a strong background in white collar and corruption cases,” said Loren Brown, who is the global co-chair of DLA Piper’s Litigation practice and co-chair of the US Litigation practice. “His experience in multiple jurisdictions will be an asset to our white collar practice and clients, both locally and nationally.”

Andrew Gilbert, the co-managing partner of the Short Hills office at DLA Piper, said, “We are pleased to welcome Rodney back to his New Jersey roots. He and the strong relationships he has maintained throughout the region will be a great complement to our civil litigation team.”

Villazor earned his law degree from American University Washington College of Law.



At Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, Daniel B. Goldman has joined the litigation department. He comes to the firm from Paul Hastings LLP.

“Dan is a great trial lawyer who comes to us with broad commercial litigation experience,” said Gary P. Naftalis , co-chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. “He is a perfect fit for our group, and I look forward to working with him.”

Goldman earned his law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

At Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP, Brian S. Korn has joined in the corporate and finance practice in the New York office. Korn comes from Pepper Hamilton LLP .
