On Saturday, the 36-year-old Medina began arguing with his roommate, Joshua Sutter, who was also 36 years old. The pair shared an apartment in Palmdale, California. At some point, the argument escalated to a physical altercation, according to reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. According to the Los Angeles Times, the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m.

Last January, a social media celebrity pleaded not guilty to the beating death of an attorney.

Law enforcement officials say that Medina walked away from Sutter and entered his bedroom, but Sutter followed Medina and then forced his way into Medina’s bedroom. At that point, Medina stabbed Sutter with a sword he kept next to his bedroom door, puncturing Sutter’s abdomen.

After the stabbing, Medina called 911 and waited at the apartment until the police arrived. Medina was charged with murder and is being held at the Palmdale Sheriff Station. A $1 million bail has been entered.

Medina is scheduled to appear in Antelope Valley Courthouse on Tuesday, according to law enforcement documents.

Rapper Suge Knight has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run.

Gar Lester, Medina’s agent, expressed disbelief at the incident. “He’s been my friend and client for 12 years and he’s a great guy. He’s great to his dog, he’s great to his people. He’s really a super person,” he explained.

Do you think Medina could have been acting in self defense?
