Summary: Ricardo Medina Jr. allegedly stabbed his roommate in the stomach after the two argued and had a physical fight.
The Huffington Post reports that Ricardo Medina Jr., who formerly portrayed a Power Ranger on the hit TV series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, was arrested over the weekend for allegedly killing his roommate with a sword.
On Saturday, the 36-year-old Medina began arguing with his roommate, Joshua Sutter, who was also 36 years old. The pair shared an apartment in Palmdale, California. At some point, the argument escalated to a physical altercation, according to reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. According to the Los Angeles Times, the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m.
Last January, a social media celebrity pleaded not guilty to the beating death of an attorney.
Law enforcement officials say that Medina walked away from Sutter and entered his bedroom, but Sutter followed Medina and then forced his way into Medina’s bedroom. At that point, Medina stabbed Sutter with a sword he kept next to his bedroom door, puncturing Sutter’s abdomen.
