Foley & Lardner Welcomes Stephen A. Aschettino to New York Office

Summary: Stephen A. Aschettino has left the firm he co-founded to join the New York office of Foley & Lardner LLP as a partner in the litigation department.

The law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP announced via a press release that Stephen A. Aschettino has joined the litigation department at the firm in their New York office. He will work as a partner.

Aschettino brings more than 20 years of experience with global law firms to the firm. He will support the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations, Insurance & Reinsurance and Consumer Financial Services Practices at the law firm.

Aschettino has experience as lead counsel and first-chair trial experience during his career. He has handled cases involving insurance, bankruptcy, products liability, and complex commercial litigation issues within the industries of insurance, e-commerce, financial services and manufacturing.

Michael Tuteur, the chair of Foley’s Litigation Department, said, “We are thrilled to add Steve’s experienced and diverse background to our talented team of litigators. Aschettino also focuses a large amount of his time on the growing electronic payment processing industry as part of his practice. He has negotiated processing and sponsorship agreements, resolved disputes between service providers, structured inter-company transactions and advised financial institutions involved in distress situations.

Aschettino co-founded Aschettino Struhs LLP prior to joining Foley. He was the firm’s managing partner and led the litigation, insurance and e-payments practices. He has also worked as the general counsel for Cynergy Data.
