Ryan Preston Joins Dallas Office of Perkins Coie

Summary: Ryan Preston has joined Perkins Coie in Dallas after leaving the office of K&L Gates in the same city.

The law firm of Perkins Coie has announced that Ryan J. Preston has joined the firm in Dallas as a partner in the Technology Transactions & Privacy Practice, according to a press release. He comes to the firm from K&L Gates.

James Lisbakken, the co-chair of the Technology Transactions & Privacy practice, said, “Ryan’s addition is a great step in the continued expansion of our premier technology practice in Dallas. His broad experience with complex transactions and mergers and acquisitions involving technology companies is especially relevant for our technology practice (nationally as well as in Texas) and will be of great interest to many of our clients.”

Ryan focuses his practice on structuring, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements for contracts related to technology licensing, outsourcing, manufacturing, information technology and distribution.

He has represented clients in cases regarding private equity, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, public company representation, private offerings and SEC reporting and compliance.

Ryan earned his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
