BakerHostetler Welcomes Jason F. Hoffman to D.C. Office

Summary: Jason F. Hoffman has joined the law firm of BakerHostetler in their Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Group.

The law firm of BakerHostetler announced via a press release this week that Jason F. Hoffman has joined the firm in the Washington, D.C. office. He will be a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and comes from Fisch Hoffman Sigler LLP. He was a founding partner at the firm.

Hoffman represents his clients on issues involving electronics, financial transactions, mobile phones, image sensors, computer hardware and software, video streaming, stored value cards and retail point-of-sale systems.

“Jason is a top-notch IP litigator,” said John Weber, National Chair of BakerHostetler’s Intellectual Property Group. “Our clients will benefit from his trial experience — whether he’s enforcing or defending their intellectual property rights or attempting to avoid litigation altogether with innovative litigation strategies.”

Jeffrey H. Paravano, the managing partner of the D.C. office, said, “We are delighted to have Jason on our IP team. He will help keep our clients on track by knowing their businesses well, proactively advancing strategies and solutions, and assisting clients with understanding what the law requires, allows and protects, in addition to advising them based on what good judgment suggests given our team members’ own backgrounds and experiences.”

Hoffman said the following in the release: “I am extremely excited to join BakerHostetler, especially in light of the depth and breadth of its IP practice and its strong national platform. I look forward to serving our clients alongside some of the best attorneys in the business.”

Hoffman earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A. from Brandeis University. He has also clerked for the Honorable James M. Rosenbaum, United States District Judge for the District of Minnesota.
