The Princeton Review recently released its list of the 2015 top 10 best law schools for career prospects, according to Forbes. If you are considering a career in law, you should take a long look at this list in an effort to determine where you will apply.
The number-one school on the list, Northwestern University School of Law, made the list last year, but was the number-nine school. The employment numbers for their graduates improved so much over the last year that the school jumped to the top of the list.
The entire list is as follows:
1: Northwestern University School of Law – 94 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
2: University of California at Berkeley School of Law – 94 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
3: University of Chicago Law School – 97 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
4: University of Pennsylvania Law School – 97 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
5: New York University School of Law – 96 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
6: Columbia Law School – 97 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
7: Harvard Law School – 96 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $160,000.
8: University of Virginia School of Law – 98 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $117,500.
9: University of Michigan Law School – 90 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $150,000.
10: University of Southern California Gould School of Law – 83 percent of graduates are employed nine months after graduation with a median starting salary of $145,000.
