Barnes & Thornburg Welcomes David Vander Haar to Minneapolis Office

Summary: The law firm of Barnes & Thornburg has announced that David Vander Haar has joined the firm’s Minneapolis office as a partner in the Corporate Department.

It was announced today by the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg LLP that David Vander Haar has joined the firm’s office in Minneapolis as a partner in the Corporate Department, according to a press release.

Vander Haar joins the firm from Faegre Baker Daniels LLP.

The corporate practice for Vander Haar has more than 30 years of experience when it comes to representing clients in private and public companies for joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, strategic alliances, reorganizations and joint ventures.

“Dave is an exceptional talent who brings business savvy and creativity, in addition to legal insight, to each client transaction,” said Peter Ekberg, managing partner of Barnes & Thornburg’s Minneapolis office. “His deep understanding of complex corporate law and extensive experience, combined with an impressive skillset, makes him a perfect fit at this working attorney firm.”

Vander Haar rejoins former colleagues from Faegre, Ekberg and Felicia Boyd, who are the co-chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Intellectual Property Department.

Vander Haar is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and previously served as the chair of the Business and Professional Corporations Committee and the Business Law Section.

Vander Haar earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his undergraduate degree from Hope College. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Twin Cities United Way.
