Amazing Pictures of the World’s Highest Roller Coasters

Summary: Pictures of the three tallest amusement rides in the world, located in Las Vegas.

Considering a trip to Las Vegas? You might visit the Stratosphere Hotel, which features the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. What’s amazing about this tower lies at its tip, where you will find two observation decks, a revolving restaurant knows as “Top of the World,” and the four thrill rides shown below.

These thrill rides include Big Shot, the highest coaster in the world, Insanity, which spins in circles at 40 miles per hour over the edge, the SkyJump Las Vegas, a ride similar to Bungee jumping, and X-Scream.

Wrapped around the top like this, the coaster looks slightly claustrophobic and death-defying.

Thrill seekers could not expect a more adrenaline pumping rush than skirting over the edge like this.

Only once did this ride stop working, in 2005, when the machine turned itself off on purpose because of a system error. Frightening, to say least, for coaster goers, though it seems the normal experience would be frightening itself without such a bonus.

If you are in Vegas and looking for a thrill, you should consider adding this to your list.
