Brown Rudnick Welcomes Two to New York Office

Summary: The law firm of Brown Rudnick has announced that Lawrence Drucker and Alfred Fabricant have joined the IP practice in the New York office.

The law firm of Brown Rudnick LLP has announced that it has added Lawrence C. Drucker and Alfred R. Fabricant to the Intellectual Property Litigation group, according to a press release. The two will work in the firm’s New York office.

Fabricant will be the head of the IP Litigation practice for the United States at the firm and will serve as the co-chair of the Global IP Litigation practice.

Fabricant and his litigation team have handled cases involving trade secret and unfair competition disputes, trademark infringement and copyright infringement.

Joseph F. Ryan, the Chairman and Chief Executive of the firm, said the following in the press release:

For quite some time, the Firm has been seeking the right opportunity to hire a ‘bet the company’ caliber group to expand our IP litigation practice. This talented team will establish a high powered IP litigation practice in New York that we will be able to leverage across our offices globally. They will also complement our corporate and rapidly growing IP transactional practices, providing our clients an important additional resource. ”

Fabricant said, “We are thrilled to be joining Brown Rudnick at this exciting time for the global IP practice. This is an opportunity for us to build a key practice area at the Firm incorporating our litigation style and philosophy. We are looking forward to playing an important role in the continued global expansion of IP litigation at the Firm.”

Fabricant is the former Chair of IP at Winston & Strawn. His practice focuses on patent, copyright and trademark litigation, unfair competition, antitrust, entertainment and other commercial issues.

Fabricant has a B.A. from the University of Miami and a law degree from the John Marshall Law School.

Drucker focuses his practice on copyright, patent, trademark and unfair competition. Drucker earned his law degree from Columbia Law School and his B.A. from Queens College of the City University of New York.

Jim Vassallo: Jim is a freelance writer based out of the suburbs of Philadelphia in New Jersey. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' Jim lives in New Jersey with his wife Nicole, son Tony and dog Phoebe.
