Yale Law School Number One According to U.S. News College Rankings

Summary: Yale University has been ranked the top law school in the country according to U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of the top law schools in the United States.

The University Herald reports that Yale University has been named the number one law school in the country, according to U.S. News and World Report’s list of the best law schools in the United States.

To determine the best law schools, U.S. News considered peer assessment, selectivity, placement success, and ratings by lawyers and judges.

Yale University, an Ivy League school, does not grade students during the first year. After that point, they are graded on a scale of honors, pass, low pass, credit, or failure. The school only has 626 students, and classes are often small, usually with fewer than twenty students in each class.

The law school provides over twenty legal clinics, allowing students the opportunity to gain real-life experience as early as the first year. Students have the chance to represent clients in domestic violence disputes, apartment eviction proceedings, and many other cases. Students are also able to test their abilities in workshops and on-campus centers.

Former President Bill Clinton, as well as Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas are alumni of the law school.

Harvard University came in at number two, and Stanford University was ranked third. New York’s Columbia University and the University of Chicago took the number four spot.
