Dinsmore Looking for Larger Office Space in City of Cincinnati

Summary: The law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is trying to find larger office space in the city of Cincinnati because of its growing staff numbers.

The law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, the largest in Cincinnati, has said that it is looking for a new downtown location. The news was first reported by The Cincinnati Business Courier.

The firm’s office is currently located at the First Financial Center, leasing eight floors. It is looking for a location that offers anywhere from 165,000 to 170,000 square feet. The lease at their current location is not done until 2018.

The firm merged on March 1 with Peck Shaffer & Williams, turning that firm into a division of Dinsmore. There are more than 200 local active lawyers and more than 400 total employees locally with the firm.

If Dinsmore does leave its current office location, there are some within the city who are worried about the large portion of empty space. On the other side of things, many are not concerned because of the efforts of some major companies to move closer to the core of the city as much as possible. One such company is that of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP.

The eight floors could easily be filled because of the proximity of the First Financial Center to Western & Southern, Procter & Gamble Co. and Fountain Square.
