Allan Gabriel Named Director of Intellectual Property Department at Dykema

Allan Gabriel has been named the Director of their Intellectual Property Department at Dykema, according to a press release this week. Gabriel joined the firm back in 2007 with an IP litigation practice that specializes in patent, trademark and copyright infringement. He also has experience with false advertising, trade secrets and right of publicity claims. He has represented clients in appellate and trial courts.

The chairman and CEO of Dykema, Peter Kellett, said the following in the press release: “Allan’s command of intellectual property law—a sophisticated and nuanced area of the law—is complemented by his strong litigation skills and extraordinary attentiveness to clients. Under Allan’s guidance, Dykema’s IP department will build on its reputation as one of the most innovative IP practices in the nation.”

Many of Dykema’s attorneys have backgrounds in biochemistry, aerospace and automotive technologies, mechanical, molecular biology and computer engineering.

Gabriel said the following via the release: “The practice of IP law is much more than the legal details of IP litigation, patent prosecution, trademark protection and copyright defense. It’s understanding that for many clients, intellectual property is the most valued and treasured business asset they have. Dykema has established itself as a premiere IP legal advisor to companies, investors and entrepreneurs worldwide. I’m eager to lead the team to even greater growth in its vigorous representation of our clients.”

He earned his B.A. from Queens College and his law degree from Rutgers Law School.
