Foley & Lardner Adds Mark Tatelbaum in Boston and D.C.

It was announced this week via a press release that the law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP has added Mark Tatelbaum to the firm’s Health Care Practice to serve as of counsel in the Washington, D.C. and Boston offices.

Lawrence Vernaglia, the chair of the firm’s Health Care Practice, said the following in the release: “Mark’s comprehensive knowledge of health care issues will enhance the level of our customized service.

His combination of in-house, law firm and government experience will allow him to provide multi-faceted legal advice to our clients with a business-centered focus.”

Tatelbaum has experience with provider joint ventures, medical staff by-laws and hearings, corporate governance, managed care, professional services and staffing agreements, operational contracts and affiliations and physician alignment.

Susan Pravda, the managing partner of the Boston office, said in the release, “We look forward to working with Mark, who will serve our broad range of health care clients as a trusted legal counselor.”

Tatelbaum is an assistant professional lecturer at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. His legal career started while on active duty with the U.S. Navy in the Judge Advocate General Corps. He was stationed in Bremerton, Washington. He later served at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, which is Navy Medicine headquarters in D.C.

Jim Vassallo: Jim is a freelance writer based out of the suburbs of Philadelphia in New Jersey. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' Jim lives in New Jersey with his wife Nicole, son Tony and dog Phoebe.
