Model Robyn Lawley Talks about Body Image with Ellen DeGeneres

Robyn Lawley is an Australian-born model who has been labeled ‘plus-size’ throughout her young career. She has graced the covers of many magazines, including Vogue Italia, Australian Vogue, GQ Australia and Australia Cosmopolitan. She has also appeared in an ad campaign for Ralph Lauren as the first plus-size model to ever appear in a campaign for the company.

Lawley appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, talking with Ellen about various topics. One of those topics included what it is like to be a plus-sized model. We have the video embedded in this post for you to watch and you absolutely should watch it because of what Lawley had to say about the topic. The video is courtesy of Upworthy.

Lawley spoke to Ellen about the changing shape of the modeling industry and what she thinks needs to change within the industry. Her thoughts and ideas are a breathe of fresh air in our opinion and many people will applaud her for the comments she made to Ellen about the modeling world. This is a beautiful woman, who has been labeled as ‘plus-size,’ but when you look at her, she sure does not come across as such. Maybe the industry should remove its labels of models so women of all ages can look at themselves in a better light.
