Foley & Lardner LLP Adds Kamran Mirrafati to Labor & Employment Practice

It was announced on Monday via a press release that Foley & Lardner LLP has added Kamran Mirrafati to its Labor & Employment Practice in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices as a partner.

Mirrafati comes to the firm with experience in employment and labor law. Mirrafati focuses on unfair labor practice charges, management-side labor relations, arbitrations, Section 301 cases, and representation proceedings. Mirrafati provides counsel for issues involving employee discipline, union organizing, administration and contract interpretation.

“Kamran will provide sophisticated collective bargaining and compliance counseling and litigation services to our clients, who are increasingly seeking effective labor-management relations,” said Kevin Hyde, chair of Foley’s Labor & Employment Practice. “His experience advising companies in the many facets of labor and employment law will be a tremendous resource to our growing national practice.”

Mirrafati has also worked with clients regarding issues surrounding mergers and acquisitions, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, employment agreements, procedure and personnel policies.

“Adding a practitioner of Kamran’s caliber is a strategic move to continue building our capabilities in California, which has long been a hotbed of  labor and employment law activity and other emerging issues faced by companies,” said Thomas F. Carlucci, managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office.

Jim Vassallo: Jim is a freelance writer based out of the suburbs of Philadelphia in New Jersey. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year.
