First Picture of New Batman Revealed by Director Zack Snyder

If you thought the Batman played by Christian Bale was buff, wait until you see some of the first pictures of Ben Affleck as Batman. Zack Snyder, who is directing the sequel to “Man of Steel,” released some of the first pictures of Affleck as Batman, according to CNN.

Snyder took to Twitter to post some of the first pictures, which are his vision of Batman. He had teased on Twitter that a sneak peak to the new Batmobile would be coming very soon. Instead of just posting a picture of the new Batmobile, Snyder also included a picture of Affleck with the vehicle.

The project is being called “Batman vs. Superman” and will mark the first time that the two superheroes will appear on screen at the same time. The movie is set to hit theaters in May of 2016.

Actor Henry Cavill played Superman in “Man of Steel” and will play the character again for this film. The casting as Affleck was very controversial from the beginning, but many seem to like the first couple of pictures shared by Snyder.

Snyder tweeted: “I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom. #Batman.”

Many fans praised the new look of Batman, saying that he looks grittier, older and pissed off! What do you think of the new Batman? Let us know in our comments section below.
