Mel Gibson Battery Erased From Record

According to a report by TMZ, Actor Mel Gibson will have his battery conviction ERASED from the record, and it will be as if the Oksana Grigorieva mouth-punching incident NEVER happened. Mel Gibson was charged with battery for hitting Oksana Grigorieva, the Russian pianist and singer-songwriter in the mouth, knocking out several of her veneers.

“I slapped Oksana one time with an open hand in an attempt to bring her back to reality.” He said to her, in a sworn declaration in his custody case, according to TMZ.

Mel Gibson’s roles in the “Mad Max” series of films, Peter Weir’s Gallipoli, and the “Lethal Weapon” series of films have earned him the label of “action hero.” Later, Mel Gibson expanded into a variety of acting projects including human dramas such as Hamlet, and comedic roles such as those in Maverick and What Women Want. He expanded beyond acting into directing and also producing.

Oksana Grigorieva was romantically involved with actor Mel Gibson, and they have a daughter Lucia. Grigorieva and Gibson were involved in a child custody dispute. In August 2011, Grigorieva settled with Gibson and was awarded $750,000, joint legal custody, and a house in Sherman Oaks, California to live in until their 3-year-old daughter Lucia turns 18, at which point the house will be sold and the proceeds turned into a trust fund for Lucia.

“I was allowed to end the case and still maintain my innocence,” Mel Gibson said, according to Radar Online. “I could have continued to fight this for years and it probably would have come out fine. But I ended it for my children and my family.”

It has been reported that in 2013, Oksana Grigorieva sued her attorneys, accusing them of advising her to sign a bad agreement, including one with Mel Gibson that states that if she takes legal action against him, her previous settlement will be compromised.
