Morrison & Foerster Adds Shirin Tang to Singapore Office

The law firm of Morrison & Foerster announced via a press release on Wednesday that it has added Shirin Tang as a corporate partner at the firm’s office in Singapore. Tang has experience with mergers and acquisitions, joint venture transactions, and private equity. The addition becomes effective on April 21.

“We are delighted to welcome a lawyer of Shirin’s caliber to MoFo. Her reputation for M&A work precedes her, and we know she will be instrumental in growing our practice in Singapore,” said Eric Piesner, managing partner of the firm’s Singapore office and firmwide managing partner for Asia. “Adding another top practitioner to augment partners Jake Robson and Adam Summerly, who joined us last year, means we are well on the way to developing a leading private equity and M&A team in Singapore.”

Tang said, “Morrison & Foerster has consistently been where the M&A action is in Asia, which is one of the main reasons I decided to join the firm. I am excited to contribute to the group’s continued success.”

Tang comes to the firm from Shearman & Sterling. Tang earned an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and an LL.B. from the National University of Singapore. She is admitted to the bar in New York and in Singapore.

The office for Morrison & Foerster in Singapore opened just last year and is the fifth in Asia.
