Human Barbie and Ken Meet Face to Face

Valeria Lukyanova, 23 and Justin Jedlica, 32, are two cosmetically-enhanced models, who pride themselves on looking like real-life Barbie and Ken dolls. Valeria Lukyanova and Justin Jedlica came face-to-face for the first time, and the Huffington Post has reported that it was not love at first sight.

According to an interview with GQ Magazine, Justin Jedlica thought the Ukrainian doll looked like a  “drag queen.” Human Ken said according to the International Business Times that, “We met at a photo shoot. She’s a cute girl, I don’t really get her. I don’t get why people think she’s so interesting. She has extensions. She wears stage makeup. She’s an illusionist.” Unlike me, who has spent nearly $150,000 permanently transforming myself into a human Ken doll, Valeria just plays dress-up, Valeria has been my arch-nemesis ever since we met each other earlier this year.”

Justin Jedlica has said that he’d had about 90 surgeries to get the “muscular” body and chiseled face that he has today. He is known as the man who came to national attention for undergoing over 100 plastic surgeries. In a previous interview with Huff Post Weird, Justin Jedlica has said that Valeria Lukyanova is “beautiful,” but “it appears to me that much of her look is added makeup, fake hair and ‘slimming’ corsets … Drag queens have put on the same illusions with makeup and costumes for years.” It has been reported that the human Ken doll, Justin Jedlica,  has paid more than $100,000 to get his desired look.

Valeria Lukyanova, the Ukrainian model known as “Human Barbie,” became an online sensation back in April 2012, “I use my appearance to promote my spiritual ideas,” she says. “It works perfectly well. That’s why I will always use this tool….If a nun starts talking about spirituality, will anyone notice her? No, no one will,” Valeria Lukyanova said according to the International Business Times.

The interview in GQ Magazine with model Valeria Lukyanova certainly shares her spiritual ambitions regarding children. In the article she tells GQ Magazine, “It’s unacceptable to me. The very idea of having children brings out this deep revulsion in me. Most people have children to fulfill their own ambitions, not to give anything,” she says, adding later, “I’d rather die from torture because the worst thing in the world is to have a family lifestyle.”

On February 28, 2014 it has been reported that Valeria Lukyanova  announced that she would consume no food or water in an attempt to live exclusively on light and air. This is also called breatharianism.
