Three Attorneys From Salt Lake City Tax Firm Join Holland & Hart

Holland & Hart has announced an expansion of its Salt Lake City office after three attorneys from local tax law firm Crapo, Deeds and Hunsaker joined the firm. All three name partners of the small law firm will be joining Holland & Hart’s Salt Lake City office, bringing with them their state and local tax practices. With this expansion, Holland & Hart positions itself to having the largest state and local tax legal team in Utah.

Holland & Hart, which recently celebrated the inclusion of 71 of its attorneys in the 2014 list of Colorado Super Lawyers, is also focusing significantly on Utah. With the latest development, the size of Holland & Hart’s Salt Lake City office comes up to 92 attorneys, including a firm-wide group of 17 attorneys focusing on local tax law practice.

Welcoming the renowned tax attorneys to the Salt Lake City office of the firm, Eric Maxfield, the managing partner of the office, said, “The arrival of David, John and Pamela strengthens Holland & Hart’s state and local tax law team, allowing the attorneys from both firms to more effectively and completely serve clients in Utah … Both firms have outstanding tax attorneys with common traditions of excellence in client service.”

She earned her J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School of Brigham Young University and her B.A. in Public Relations from Brigham Young University.

John Deed, too, practices in the area of state and local taxation. While in law school, he worked in the Tax and Revenue Division at the Utah Attorney General’s Office. He received an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating “With Distinction” and on the Dean’s List. He received his J.D. from the University of Utah’s S.J.
