Former White House Aide and FINRA Principle Counsel of Enforcement Joins Greenberg Traurig LLP

The law firm of Greenberg Traurig LLP, welcomes William Mack, as counsel to their Government Law & Policy and Financial Regulatory & Compliance practice in New York.

Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Mack was a Principal Counsel for Enforcement at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in New York. Prior to that, he worked as Director of the Executive Secretariat in the Office of the United States Trade Representative and as a deputy Associate Counsel at the White House.


As a U.S. Trade Representative he advised Ambassador, Ron Kirk on the trade agreement negotiations and World Trade Organization (WTO) litigation decisions, prepared him for Congressional testimony, and meetings with heads of state and industry organizations. He served as a Deputy Associate Counsel at the White House providing counsel to senior White House staff on Appointments and Congressional inquiries.

Mark joins one of the top five lobbying practices in New York City, ranked by the City Clerk’s office and ranked in the top five law firm lobbying practices in New York State, by the Joint Commission on Public Ethics, and its predecessors. Mark will focus his practice on government affairs, government contracts, administrative law, government investigations, legislative, lobbying, trade and regulatory and compliance matters.

Mack holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was researching and writing editor for the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. He also holds a B.A from the University at Albany, SUNY.
