Pinterest Outfits Made Affordable

We all know I’m a little obsessed with Pinterest, especially my style page. One of the things I don’t like about Pinterest, however, is that it makes me want all these things that I can’t afford. So, I decided to take one of my favorite pinned outfits and re-create it only shopping at Old Navy, Target, H&M and Forever 21. I’ve put together options for each piece (excluding the clutch) for you all if you want to find them on your own. I also love to shop at Marshalls and TJMaxx, but those don’t have sites for their clothing since they sell whatever items are brought in and it varies store to store. So, without further adieu, the outfit! I LOVE this look. Yes, I like black. But beyond that, it’s chic, simple and can easily be worn in both an office and out for socializing in the evening. Change the shoes to boots and pick a less flashy necklace and you have an outfit for brunch. These pieces can be combined with other things in your closet for a million different options.

A few notes: If you go with leggings for pants, pick a longer top. But if you choose dress pants, then you can go with a shorter top. Shoe-wise, I love the pointed toe of her heels in the photo, but if you don’t want to buy new shoes, any black heels or flats would work. I’m a flats girl myself, so if I wore this to work then I probably wouldn’t choose heels. You could also mix things up by going with a colored shoe! What I love about the all-black look is that you can go a little crazier with accessories. I couldn’t find a necklace quite as glammed-out as hers, but you can go with black and grey jewels or you could go with just a metallic color or even a bright color. You might already have a great necklace in your wardrobe!   I do have to say I intended this post to include several outfits, but just finding all the pieces and copying the links and saving the images for the first one took me over an hour… So maybe a new outfit every couple weeks?   Do you use Pinterest or magazines for outfit inspiration? What are your favorite stores for affordable clothes?
