Pope Meets His Chocolate Self

Pope Francis was able to meet himself the other day when he was introduced to a chocolate statue of himself.

A picture was posted to multiple media outlets, including Cheez burger of the Pope seeing his chocolate statue.

The chocolate pope was a gift to Pope Francis from amateur chocolatiers, who spent four weeks constructing His Holiness.

It took 1.5 tons of cocoa to construct the statue, which was made by chocolatiers at Accademia of Maestri Cioccolatieri.

This is an interesting story, especially when you read some of the comments at the bottom of the page on Cheez burger. We have included some of them for you to enjoy.

One visitor to the site said, “If they add bunny ears, they can give it to the kids on Easter.”

Another user, with a not-so-appropriate comment, said, “Great thats all we need catholic priests literally made out of candy. Now kids will be drawn to them.”

What do you think of the chocolate pope done by these amateur chocolate-makers? Do you think it looks anything like Pope Francis? Do you think it was a waste of time for the students? Let us know your thoughts in our comments section at the bottom of this page.
