Gordon & Rees Honors Two Additions

San Diego county’s second biggest law firm, Gordon & Rees, will add two Southern California lawyers to become name partners. Gordon & Rees emphasizes litigation and business transactions and features over 30 separate practice areas and industry specializations. Founded in 1974 in San Francisco by former Cal baseball player Stu Gordon and Stanford graduate Don Ress, the firm has 500 lawyers in 30 offices in 20 states.

The firm is adding Miles Scully and Roger Manukhani to its practice. The two lawyers have spent time between the firm’s Los Angeles and San Diego offices. According to the San Diego Business Journal’s Book of Lists, Gordon & Rees is the city’s second largest firm. In San Diego, the firm has 128 lawyers.

Miles Scully, 51, joined the firm in 1988 out of law school and moved to San Diego in 1992 after the firm opened it’s first branch office. He was integral in the firm’s expansion from 100 lawyers over the last 13 years, a company news release says. Roger Mansukhani, 46, joined that office in 1994 and was also involved in the expansion. He has never lost in trial or arbitration, the firm said.

“Being among the fastest growing firms in the country doesn’t happen by accident,” Managing Partner Dion Cominos said in a statement. “Contributors like Miles and Roger have helped us achieve our goal of building a national platform to service clients throughout the country in a cost-effective and responsible fashion. As a result, our firm is able to compete for work with the best firms in the country at a significantly better price.”
