Greenberg Traurig Hires Former Congressman Charles F. Bass

Greenberg Traurig announced the expansion of its Government Law and Policy Group with the hiring of former New Hampshire Congressman Charles F. Bass. He joins as a Senior Director of the group in Washington, D.C. Bass, who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional district from 1995 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2013, is not licensed to practice law.

At Greenberg Traruig, Bass will primarily focus his attention on government policy and legislative matters pertaining to the federal government. He will be providing assistance with matters before the House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and Executive Branch agencies. Bass has the experience of serving on several important committees during his 14-year tenure in Congress, including the Budget, Government Reform and Oversight committee, the Transportation and Infrastructure committee, and the Energy and Commerce committee.

Bass has deep experience in public policy related to significant areas like energy, telecommunications, health care, environmental protection, consumer protection, privacy, data security and related issues. He has been appreciated by both Democrats and Republicans for his role as a substantive and pragmatic legislator.

As an expert on government policies, Bass brings with him the experience of 14 years of serving the United States Congress, four years in the New Hampshire Senate, six years as State Representative, and the experience of having served as the Co-Chair of the Congressional Biomass Caucus and the New England Congressional Caucus. He also possesses considerable insight into the process of business entrepreneurship.
