120 Pounds of Eating Machine

Molly Schuyler is a competitive eater. Competitive eating, or speed eating, is a sport in which participants compete against each other to consume large portions of food in a short time period. The contests are usually eight to 10 minutes long and normally less than 15 minutes in length, with the person consuming the most food being declared the winner.

In October 2012 Molly Schuyler won the Pig Wings Challenge at Starsky’s in Nebraska, which had been featured on the Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food Nation,” in 38 minutes. Also that month in Nebraska, Molly Schuyler and her friend Tyler Danforth ate the Big Joe Pizza at Frank’s Pizzeria. The Big Joe is 12 pounds of pizza – four pounds of crust, two pounds of cheese, two pounds of pepperoni, two pounds of sausage and 26 ounces of sauce- and two challengers must eat it in one hour to win. Schuyler and her friend tackled the pie in 28 minutes.

The 120 pound eating machine, Molly Schuyler, who has only been into competitive eating for the past year might have broken a world record according to the Huffington Post. The previous Guinness World Record for consuming a 72 oz. steak was 6 minutes and 48 seconds, According to Gawker. Molly was reported to have broken the 72-ounce steak eating world record, having eaten it in 2 minutes and 44 seconds at Sayler’s Old Country Kitchen in Portland, Oregon.
