Best Moments of 2013

Now that you’ve seen the 10 Most Popular posts on my blog in 2013, I wanted to share MY favorite moments of 2013. I’m sure you’ve seen a million of these posts today, but these are the kinds of things I love to look back at year after year, so here we go!

In January I went to Denver and my first ever Rodeo (part 1, part 2, part 3) and then visited a friend in San Francisco for the first time! I also discussed how blogging has influenced my life.

February was a thoughtful month, starting with some important life lessons I learned during a weekend at home, a reminder that There’s No Perfect and that You’re Good Enough Now, ending with my decision to go to Law School and things you should consider when going back to school.

In March I went to Colorado Springs where I hiked through Cheyenne Mountain State Park, went on a trail run through the Garden of the Gods, and tried (and LOVED) indoor rock climbing.

I also talked about how hindsight is 20/20 when it comes to running injuries and things you should think about when you feel you’re getting an injury.

April was full of the Intuitive Eating Challenge, including my decision to join the challenge and why, as well as my final review and my reminder that you should “Do You” and not worry about what other people think.

In May, I graduated law school (!!!!!) and had a great graduation weekend with friends and family.

June was full of studying for the Bar Exam, but I also took a week off to fly to South Carolina for my “twin’s” wedding. I also tried out Rent the Runway for my cousin’s wedding, and told you all my Rules for Life.

July… well, July I took a break from blogging to focus on the Bar. That was fun.

In August I survived the Bar Exam and returned to blogging. I went back to Colorado Springs to hike the Rampart Reservoir as well as Raspberry Mountain.

I also headed up to Denver again to round out my month of relaxation.

In September I headed to Minneapolis for the Healthy Living Summit and gave a presentation on how to use PicMonkey.

In October I PASSED THE BAR EXAM!!!!!!!!!!!!, volunteered at the Chicago Marathon, went to a HANSON CONCERT!!!, and took some time to think about who I want to be.  Big Month.

In November I celebrated my 26th birthday with friends, gave you all a tour of my new apartment, took a quick weekend trip to Denver and suggested that you “Eat the Pizza.”

And finally – December! This past month was a little slow on the “big events” front, but I discovered my love for Operation Beautiful, gave you 6 Tips for Self Love, headed home with Molly to KC for Christmas, and have had a great couple of weeks here at home.

And there you have it! My favorite moments from 2013, month by month. It has definitely been a year of change and I’m hoping only bigger and better things come in 2014!

Have a great time celebrating the New Year tonight and I’ll see you in 2014!

What was your best moment from 2013?

What are you looking forward to in the new year?

Kathryn Wheeler: My name is Katie and I moved to Chicago in 2010 for law school and graduated in May 2013. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
