After making anti-gay comments and being suspended from his absurd reality show Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson has more to say, according to TMZ. He has boldly declared during his Bible study group that even he is not without “sexual sin” and has decided to make amends by getting married. He energetically stated, “Sexual sins are numerous and many. I have a few myself . . . If you’re a man, find yourself a woman, marry them and keep your sex right there.” Some people simply choose to see the world in black and white and he makes no apologies for his somewhat narrow-minded viewpoint. He defended himself and his beliefs by saying, “I will not give or back off my path. All I did was quote from the scriptures . . . Common sense says we are not going to procreate the human race unless we have a man and a woman.”
Most people view Robertson as an “idiot” and he is quick to defend himself. He agrees that he and his family are simple “rednecks from Louisiana,” but he did indeed graduate with a degree from Louisiana Tech, which supposedly makes everything he has to say more valid. During one of his preacher-like speeches he said, “If you’re a homosexual, He’ll take it away. If you’re an adulterer, if you’re a liar, what’s the difference? If you break one sin you may as well break them all . . . if we lose our morality, we will lose our country. It will happen.”
Robertson is currently in the middle of a controversy war with the A&E network that hosts his show, but he does not apologize for his unabashed comments. Losing morality in our country isn’t the only worry he has; his right to free speech seems to come with a list of rules these days, which is not such a good thing for him right now.
