Thursday Thoughts

Hey there everyone! My last Thursday Thoughts before CHRISTMAS!!! This whole week has felt like a countdown to Saturday when I go home and it is just inching by! I am SO READY to go home! On that note, here is this week’s Thursday Thoughts!

1. A couple weeks ago I recorded a podcast episode with Lifestyle Accountability, it was really fun! You can listen here. Just ignore all the “um”s….

2. My apartment has been a mess this past week so on Tuesday morning I just went at it and cleaned like crazy! Feels so much better when I have all the clutter picked up and put away. Neville also appreciates that his water is clear and not green anymore…

3. My last night of Skeeball is tonight! I’m kinda sad… I really enjoyed this league but it was only 5 short weeks long. Tonight is the Championship Tournament. My team is in the “consolation bracket,” meaning we’re the bottom 4 teams… Hmm. Guess we aren’t ready to go pro?

4. This photo, via Kim, makes me really want a DSLR Camera. How great is the quality? And yes, this is from the Rudolph Ramble 8K this past weekend! Still waiting for official race photos, which will better demonstrate my pain and agony.

5. Speaking of the race, when it was over I had to walk home instead of jog because my IT band had really been hurting at the end of the race (running on snow was not the best idea). I honestly don’t think I have ever been so cold in my life. After a hot (so cold I couldn’t even tell it was hot…) shower I wrapped myself up in many layers and blankets. Check out these amazing fleece pj pants I got in the sixth grade:

6. Just in case you were curious, no, I did not win the lottery.

7. Last night Lindsay and I met up at Chriskindlmarket, a German market in downtown Chicago that’s open during December. There are tons of stands with food and some amazing figurines, ornaments and other crafts.

Lindsay bought this for her mom. I have no words.

8. I love this place.

9. Have a great day!

When was the coldest you’ve ever been?

Do you play the lottery?

How do you feel about hearing your voice recorded? (I HATE it – I couldn’t even listen to more than 2 minutes of the podcast!)

Kathryn Wheeler: My name is Katie and I moved to Chicago in 2010 for law school and graduated in May 2013. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
