Most Searched Celebrity in America: Not Who You’d Think

Kim Kardashian had a very busy year. The reality TV starlet had a baby, got divorced and then got engaged to Kanye West. Maybe she should take a break and breathe for a while. However, there is one thing she failed to accomplish. According to TIME Entertainment, she didn’t get crowned as 2013’s “most searched celebrity in America.” That honor went to the one and only Beyoncé, reported by Bing on Monday.

So Kim came in second, but she beat out an impressive list of names including Rhianna, Taylor Swift and even Madonna, all truly talented ladies. It could be appropriately argued that Kardashian isn’t a real celebrity; she’s just the red-hot reality star of the moment. Aside from lacking any real talent she continues to grab the spotlight. One can only speculate what she has in store for us in 2014. Who knows – she may fall into reality star oblivion by then and hopefully she takes the rest of her family with her. Then again, Kanye must have seen something special about her since he wants to marry her. He proposed to her on her birthday and presented her with a very expensive diamond ring. What woman could ever really say no to that?

Justin Bieber and President of the United Stets, Barack Obama, were the only men on the list.  Aside from her outrageous popularity in Australia, little wild girl Miley Cyrus didn’t even make it on the list. Is there really such a thing as too much negative publicity?
