MoloLamken Proudly Hires Veteran Lawyer

MoloLamken is proud of their hiring practices. They believe one of the crucial differences a firm can make is who it opens the door to. Thus they are justly proud of their latest hire, veteran lawyer Andrew R. Devooght, who has become the third of the firm’s nine partners to make a lateral move from the Feds. As a former U.S. Supreme Court Clerk, he heightened the breadth of experience he already had, as professional stair climber, ever since he graduated from the University of Georgia magna cum laude, earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2000, and went on to ascend the roster of firms, while teaching constitutional law as visiting professor along the way.

“We are delighted to have Andy join us and expect he will hit the ground running,” said firm co-founder Steve Molo. “He is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who has handled matters in all the substantive areas in which we practice – business litigation, IP, and white collar defense,”

Indeed, Devooght’s breadth of experience includes prosecuting federal crimes such as investor fraud, healthcare fraud, criminal copyright infringement, and theft of government program funds. Further, he previously gained experience handling complex civil litigation as a white collar criminal defense as a partner of Winston & Strawn.

“Andy’s experience and credentials are exceptional,” boasted the firm’s other co-founder, Jeffrey Lamken. “His addition is in keeping with our commitment to growing an A+ team and providing the highest quality representation to our clients.”

MoloLamken is a results-focused firm that pays by the project, not by the process. Clearly proud of their hiring practices, they are careful to procure the best for their team.

DeVooght, for his part, has also chosen the lateral move deliberately.

“Looking at the substance of the work MoloLamken is doing across the board and the talent they’ve assembled, it’s exciting to be a part of that. This is a firm that understands the marketplace and has structured itself to meet client needs and at the same time positioned itself for financial success. Clients trust them because they listen and because no one is going to out-work them; no one is going to out-think them.”

Clearly proud of his firm, his clients, and himself, DeVooght considers this yet another step up the stair of life.
