Baby Quits Smoking After 40 Cigarette-a-Day Habit

When pictures and videos emerged three years ago of an infant, showing him smoking away 40 cigarettes a day Aldi Rizal made world headlines.

The boy from Indonesia demonstrating a willpower far beyond his 6 years of age, has kicked the chain smoking habit.

It’s good news for the now 6 year old but not good news that he is now a junk-food junkie. Packing on the pounds, his friends and family are desperately trying to get him in the right direction by feeding him a healthy steady diet of fruits and vegetables.

He’s up to 56 pounds, eating an unhealthy diet of junk food and condensed milk. “He eats a lot”, said Diam, his 28 year old mom. “With so many people in the house, it’s hard to stop him from getting food”.

Before turning 6, according to The Sun newspaper in London the not-so-little Aldi has traded one unhealthy habit in for another. In the past local officials offered to buy the Rizal family a new car if the boy quits but his family felt they were unable to stop him because of the massive tantrums he would throw if he wasn’t able to smoke. Hopefully the former chain smoker will one day kick the unhealthy food habit as well. He certainly is young but he has come a long way from his cigarette smoking days!
