Juan Morillo Joins International White Collar Team at Quinn Emanuel

Juan Morillo is joining Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. He is signing as a partner at the Quinn Emanuel’s Washington D.C. office. He joins as co-chair of the White Collar and Corporate Investigations Group.

Morillo gained experience as a partner in the Washington D.C. office of Cleary Gottlieb; there his focus was mainly in white collar defense as well as internal investigations for large corporate clients, according to a press release by Quinn Emanuel.

American Lawyer selects Juan Morillo as one of their top 50 litigators under 50, and he is also “highly ranked by several major legal publications, including Benchmark and Legal 500.”

John B. Quinn, managing partner at the firm commented, “We have been working hard over the last decade to expand our international footprint. This is another big step in that direction. Juan has built an impeccable reputation in the international white collar bar representing foreign companies in high profile cases.”

Notably, the Chair of Quinn Emanuel’s white collar group, William Burck, commented, “Juan is one of the very best white collar defense lawyers of our generation. Juan Morillo himself comments on his new legal home saying that he was privileged to have been a partner at Cleary. He goes on to say that he leaves with best wishes and feels immense gratitude. At the same time, he looks forward to the opportunity to help grow the D.C. office at Quinn Emanuel as well as “working with my colleagues to build the premier international white collar practice.”
