Thursday Thoughts

Happy Halloween!!! Are you ready for it? Another rendition of Thursday Thoughts! Haha I’d have more of an intro but I was too busy to write this yesterday, so I’m putting it together this morning!

1. Thank you for all your birthday wishes yesterday: here, facebook and twitter! You all are too sweet!

2. Seeing as my birthday is the day before Halloween, my birthday celebrations always tend to be Halloween-themed and therefore the holiday tends to hold a special place in my heart. Like it’s kind of my holiday. Plus I love the candy. Who doesn’t love candy?

3. Enjoying all the old photos I’ve been putting up? I am. I found an old box of photos in my parents attic this past August and saved a few that I really liked. Here’s a nice Halloween costume, probably 4 or 5 years old. Clearly I knew how to act like a lady…

4. Have you all seen the Google page today? Click on it, and then when you add different combinations of things to the cauldron, you get different games! Yes, I may have just spent the last five minutes playing with it…

5. Today I have my swearing-in ceremony for the Illinois Bar! I had no idea how many steps it took to become a licensed attorney, although I guess it’s a good thing. Graduate law school: check. Take the Bar exam: check. Pass the Bar exam: check. Get sworn in –> NOW I can practice law.

6. Tonight a few of us are going out for Halloween!!! I can’t remember the last time I actually went out ON Halloween to celebrate… probably the last time it was on a Saturday! I will be dressing as a Native American… I would say Indian but my best friend studied Native American Art and I try to be more… politically correct? Although I’m sure my costume is horribly insulting since it consists of anything that looks Native American with no regard to tribes, regions, etc…

7. Somehow between typing #6 and typing this one, I disappeared into my closet for about 20 minutes to try on my suit for today’s swearing in. Somehow my shoes either shrunk or my feet grew, because both my pairs of black pumps are too small. Add shoe shopping to my morning to do list…

8. I will leave you with this today, have a great Halloween!

Do you like Halloween?

If you’re dressing up this year, what is your costume?

Do your shoes shrink? Or do your feet grow? I’m so confused about this…
