Schnader Harrison Creates Formal Alliance in Indonesia

Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP announced this week that the firm has established a formal association agreement with Indonesian law firm Yang & Co for providing representation to Indonesian companies and individuals who require representation in the United States, and to US companies and individuals who require representation in Indonesia.

The two law firms have been working closely for over a decade and have decided to formalize their relationship.

David Smith, chairman of Schnader said on the alliance, “Indonesia is a dynamic, emerging market that has attracted significant foreign investment in recent years. With this growth potential in mind, we are very pleased to formalize our long-standing relationship with Yang & Co.”

Smith added, “This association allows us to serve both firms’ clients in Indonesia and the US.”

Indonesia is one of the fastest rising markets in Asia, and the economy is gaining sophistication rapidly to fall in step with international patterns. The Indonesian business community has been expanding rapidly and this has resulted in an increased demand for the services of lawyers capable of representing their interests both within Indonesia and abroad.

Yang & Co. Kenneth R. Puhala, a partner in Schnader’s New York office is the chief liason with Yang & Co, and he has more than a decade of experience in representing and advising Indonesian companies and individuals in US and international legal proceedings.
